Good afternoon everyone!
Tomorrow is the start to a busy but amazing week of performing!
I am posting to give some reminders to clarify and get us on the same page going forward!
~After the weekend - those of you who brought your pants or shoes home after Friday - YOU MUST BRING THEM TOMORROW - MONDAY and keep them with costumes for performance week!
~PACK A LUNCH to eat in the car on Monday. There is absolutely no time to stop and no place to stop even if there were time.
~Wear deodorant and bring it in your backpack to re-apply
~Apply make up before your arrive and bring it in your backpack!
~ On Monday after the afternoon performance - inform the costumers if you have t-shirts, socks, shirts, or blouses that need to be washed due to smell or make up stain
~ If there is an emergency or you are running late - be sure to contact Jennie (262)-353-1770 and/or Becky (414)-412-6389
If a student is sick you must notify Jennie - she will instruct you to still bring your student but will work on special arrangements as needed.
~Parents - you choose transportation for your students. Be sure to arrange that now! On Monday your students need to travel from Mountain Top Academy to St. Johns Lutheran. They need your permission to ride with teen drivers. (Start thinking ahead as they need arrangements and permission all week!)
~Students! We spoke on Friday about our afternoon school performances needing to be abbreviated due to timing with the school's end of day. Here is a review.
Below is for the St. John's Performance & Thursday's performance at Ozaukee Christian.
We will omit the Ps. 27 song/words. Drew and Gideon will exit downstage after they've finished their historical lines.
The intermission will be 3 minutes rather than 5.
Be ready for Act 3 to start!
Hadassah will not enter on Page 62 - that biblical scene will be omitted. When the boat horn blows - the people on the boat rise and pick up the scene on page 65. Just like we practiced on Friday evening. Look over the page of edited lines.
There will be no bow. You could be instructed to line up as the school students exit the gym to meet and greet as they walk by.
~So with all that communicated - we prepare for tomorrow! We will see you at Mountain Top at 7:30 AM. Look for the trailer!!!
Be EARLY. We will gather by the trailer before being allowed into the school.
Please check your email today, tonight, and if possible tomorrow morning in case of updates! Thank you!

Make Up Tips etc.
Here are some make up tips! Please read!
Applying stage make up is important for the following reasons:
Foundation:
-to reduce shine
-to even out your skin tone
Eye Make Up
-to define your eyes a bit but not draw extra attention to them
Chapstick
-so your lips aren't dry/dry looking
(no one should be wearing anything colored on their lips unless I tell you otherwise)
Overall to do the above but to give a natural look.
In Between the Poles I am not looking for any characters to be over the top in make up. When you apply your make up - go for a natural look. By natural I mean, well blended, not bold eyeliner, or loud blush.
This will allow our many characters to go between biblical/WW2, between sick/healthy, and between classes of people on either side.
Be sure to blend your foundation well at your jawline.
Do not rub it down your neck - this will ruin your costume!
Remember eyeliner is only on the top lid!
Your make up needs to be in a Ziploc bag in your backpack with your street clothes during dress rehearsals and performances.
ETC.
No one will be wearing nail polish! Fingernails or Toenails! (some of you are wearing sandals)
You cannot wear any personal jewelry.

Make Up
All acting students must wear make up for each
Dress Rehearsal and Performance.
You are responsible for
-purchasing your make up (following directions below)
-applying the make up BEFORE arriving for Dress Rehearsal or Performance (this means AT HOME - not at the venue)
-Keeping your make up in a Ziploc bag with your name on it in your backpack (must be brought to every Dress Rehearsal and Performance)
-Check in with Hailey prior to each Dress Rehearsal and Performance to be sure you look your best (you will receive feedback such as needing to apply more blush, fix smudges, etc.)
-Bringing your own make up remover
Instructions
What you need.
~Foundation (choose the tone that matches and evens out your skin tone)
~Blush
~Chapstick
~*Eye Liner (a crayon usually works better than a pencil) - apply only to TOP LID)
~*Mascara
*If you have a fair complexion and light hair - you need to wear brown
*If you have dark hair you need to wear either black or black/ brown
More Notes:
For the students who are Poles working in the camp - you may need to keep your make up behind set for covering/removing blush (making you look pale) and for adding blush again.
Katie G. and Jesse - you will need either a brown or grey eye liner to use for wrinkles. These need to be only slight lines perhaps by corners of eyes and mouth - nothing dark and nothing bold. You can either apply at home or practice with Hailey during Dress Rehearsal week.

Parking at River Road
Please be aware that parking is limited.
We had a parking issue yesterday (Monday) with the daycare next door. Please try to limit the number of parked cars!
Where to park?
2 spaces to the right of the Handicap space and 3-4 to the left of the door.
4 spaces parallel along the edge of the parking lot - ONLY across from the church!
Do NOT park in front of Day Care doors or in their area - buses and daycare parents need to come in and turn around!
Thank you!

Scheduling Information
Happy First Day of March!
We are in the month of performances! Hooray! This month is going to fun, fast, and oh so busy!
Here's the scoop - we have this coming Monday and Wednesday to practice the entire show before some of our students go to Nationals! The week after Nationals is Dress Rehearsal week!
We will be at River Road. We will be using the set and as many set pieces and props as possible. Please understand that some things including the set may still be being worked on in the next couple weeks.
You need to have your lines, entrances, and exits memorized and be prepared for each Act we are going to run. As we run scenes you may say "line" to ask for the line to be read to you and you pick it up and keep going. Keep in mind that when we run dress rehearsals - no lines will be given to you.
Here is the plan -
Monday March 4th (12:30 -5) - A complete run of Act 1 and Act 2 (all students in these Acts)
Wednesday March 6th (12:30 - 5)- A complete run of Act 3 and Act 4 (all students in these Acts)
Monday March 11th (12:30 -5)- NATIONALS (TBA students that need to attend practice)
Wednesday March 13th (12:30 - 5)- NATIONALS (TBA students that need to attend practice)
Then the 18th, 20th, and 22nd are DRESS REHEARSALS (11:30 - 5:30) (All students)
